CH Stouffville

Cedar Heights Residential Living-Stouffville is a licensed children’s residence located in a country setting. This program provides serves for up to 8 youth between the ages of 12-18. The program offers services to those with brain-based disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FASD). The program highlights the strengths of the individuals and provides accommodations based on the individuals needs.

Our program boasts an onsite Section 23 classroom provided by the York Region District School Board and is affiliated with Stouffville District Secondary School. The classroom has a board certified teacher and a CYW provided by the school board. Program staff are also present in the classroom to ensure that residents are supported in all aspects of their education.

This program is credit based, and all students who attend have the unique opportunity to earn three (3) credits per semester, six (6) total for the school year. Our program focuses on English, Physical Education, Social Life Skills, and Mathematics; however our school team focuses on each individual and will teach to their strengths. Each student has the opportunity to receive individual attention, specialized instructions, and many visual aids to support them in understanding of the material being taught. Cedar Heights Residential Living also supports this program by providing additional staffing support to ensure all students receive an education that is centered around their individual strengths, skills, and abilities.
