Cedar Heights Residential Living is comprised of seven Group Homes in both residential and rural areas around the Greater Toronto Area and South Western Ontario. All of our homes are co-ed and each resident has their own personal bedroom.
Our Tottenham, Mono Centre, Stouffville and Orangeville homes have on-site Section 23 classrooms. Our Markham and Palmer homes have in-house Day Programs specializing in applied academics (such as Banking skills, Reading and Comprehension), and Life Skill Development (such as Anger Management skills, and Healthy Relationship development). Each house provides client-centered individualized programming to our residents with the goal of reintegrating the individual into their community.
Clearview
Clearview Home provides individualized programming to 7 complex-care needs individuals. We serve individuals with brain based disabilities, emotional, psychiatric and behavioural difficulties. Clearview Home provides strength based, client-centered day programming for all residents including school and vocational training. The residents take part in such programming as life skills, activities of daily living and self help training. Residents are encouraged to participate in their program development; including goal setting, strategies and progress.
Markham
Cedar Heights Residential Living Markham is a licensed children’s residential home that accommodates up to 8 youths 12- 18 years of Age. CHM pays particular attention to youths who have been diagnosed with PDD ( Pervasive Developmental Disorder) and ASD ( Autistic Spectrum Disorder). We place emphasis on Structured Teaching and follow the TEACCH approach to Autism throughout our program. This program permits our youth to learn at their own pace and educational level in a structured setting. Home provides individualized programming to 7 complex-care needs individuals. We serve individuals with brain based disabilities, emotional, psychiatric and behavioural difficulties. Clearview Home provides strength based, client-centered day programming for all residents including school and vocational training. The residents take part in such programming as life skills, activities of daily living and self help training. Residents are encouraged to participate in their program development; including goal setting, strategies and progress.
Mono-Centre
Cedar Heights Residential Mono is a licensed children’s residence supporting 9 individuals between the ages of 12-18. Each individual has their own bedroom and the common areas of the home are shared. Situated on a beautiful country property adjacent to a provincial park including hiking trails and fishing ponds.
Orangeville
Cedar Heights Residential Living Orangeville is a licensed children’s residence supporting 6 individuals between the ages of 12-18. Each individual has their own bedroom and the common areas of the home are shared. Situated in beautiful downtown Orangeville on a large property with easy access to the community.
Palmer
Palmer Home provides individualized programming to 8 transition age youth between the ages of 17-21. We serve individuals with brain based disabilities, emotional, psychiatric and behavioural difficulties. Palmer Home provides strength based, client centered day programming for all residents including school and vocational training. The residents take part in such programming as life skills, activities of daily living and self help training. Residents are encouraged to participate in their program development; including goal setting, strategies and progress.
Stouffville
Cedar Heights Residential Living Stouffville is a licensed children’s residence located in a country setting. This program provides services for up to 8 youth between the ages of 8-18. The program offers services to those with brain-based disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FASD). The program highlights the strengths of the individuals and provides accommodations based on the individuals needs.
Tottenham
Cedar Heights Tottenham is a licensed children’s residence providing serves to 7 individuals ranging from 8-18 years of age Located in the country on a large property with an onsite Seciton 23 classroom. Individualized programming is provided to those with brain-based disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD). Recognizing the difference between functional and chronological age the program looks at the resident’s strengths as opposed to their limitations. Accommodations are made to ensure that residents are successful in all areas of life.
